Obama-Biden ‘08
I’m sold.
I’ve been talking to some hardcore republicans lately, americans that are actually living in the US, and it seems to me that a major reason why they’re McCain supporters is because of his “experienced resume”. Now let me ask you, speaking from a logical point-of-view, why would someone who has endured and experienced the hardships of an actual war as a P.O.W, want to stay in Iraq for another 100 years? In fact, he’s totally fine about it too.
In my humble opinion, this borders upon being pretty ludicrous because 2 years in the army was more than enough for me to see that not a single person enjoys being sent overseas for their tour of duty, especially not when you’re surrounded by hostile foreigners who are more willing than not to view your presence as an invasion and compromise towards their national security. What would make them think that way, you ask? Well, how about building a military base in Iraq that’s bigger than the Vatican?
Nope, but Senator McCain doesn’t see it this way. Not after 6-ish years as a P.O.W. in Vientnam, along with many more years serving the army. There’s no debate really about Bush being the worst US president of all time; various polls shows his popularity plummeting and you don’t even need to look far when every issue of your newspapers report his policies failing miserably. And yet, McCain voted for Bush’s policies 90% of the time. Is this REALLY the kind of experience you would want your future president having?
Choosing Sarah Palin was a purely strategic move to garner any disillusioned Hillary voters, made even more clear once you come to realise that McCain has only met her once prior before choosing her to take the seat of Vice President. Well, I thought, that might actually work if you totally disregard the fact that Palin openly stated that she didn’t like Clinton’s ‘whining’. What’s more, Palin is actually pushing for Creationism to be taught in Science classes all over in America. Are the kids of the future generations going to learn too that virgins can successfully give conceive, and the Earth is flat and barely a few thousand years old ?
Just to make matters clear, being religious is one thing but imposing one’s religious views onto the millions of kids in school is a whole different story. While being religious, Obama has rightfully decided that science be taught in science classes.
I eagerly anticipate the upcoming presidential debates.

I was undecided on how I will vote until now, it’s going to be another republican president.
Another republican president? Another 4 years of failed economic and foreign policies?
