the world is thinking..

Question is, are you?

Playlist – June 2008 Week #2

Ohhh man it’s been a while and while I’ve been travelling to destinations unknown, it’s clear that while people come and people go, they’ll always come back. Haha couldn’t resist stringing them up in one lame nonsensical sentance.

A little background information about Arnej :

Music first claimed a presence in Arnej’s life during his childhood, which saw him endure the musical taste of his father. The various genres of music continuously bumping in his household conspired to turn him off from music and drive him towards the more conventional interests of a small town boy.

Music regained weight in Arnej’s life at the tender age of 14, when an early computer-composed electronica track snagged his interest. What followed was a stretch of exploration and experimentation within the multifarious realm of music. Before long, Arnej transiently settled into Euro dance, eventually stumbling upon Psy and Goa trance in the mid 90′s. He devoted his attention to the works of Man With No Name, Astral Projection and Hallucinogen. Back then, the trance sound he grew passionate towards, was still in the process of establishing an identity. By the late 90’s, though, trance had carved out its niche in the music community and Arnej’s interest in it expanded accordingly. “Entranced” by its complex soundscapes and harmonies, he at long last set about taking the journey into music production. Although the road of a producer has had its fair share of curves and bumps, Arnej’s commitment to his craft hasn’t lessened in the least bit as evidenced by his ever-growing body of work.

Arnej – Rendezvous (Destination Unknown)

I remember first listening to this months ago and I went ” WHOA what is this ?! ” Call it love at first listen, I salute Arnej for daring to portray trance in a different light where few have succeeded. I truly can’t even begin to describe how much I love this tune.

Arnej – People Come, People Go

There’s nothing that quite takes my breath away like a dose of fresh crisp trance music coupled with pictures that succinctly encapsulates the raw beauty of Mother Nature. A good reminder that there’s so much more to life than the millions of meaningless goals we chase and pursue each day.

Arnej – They Always Come Back

Excellent track to get the party mood going, in my opinion.  Just listen to them screaming! Gives me goosebumps just imagining if I was there, seriously.

On a side note, Coldplay just released their new album,  Viva La Vida (literally translating to Living the Life)! Can’t wait to have a go at it :)

The one and only reason that I can give for the lack of “proper” blog posts is, World of Warcraft. To anyone who’s reading this, unless you wish to be horribly addicted to a game which requires you to invest nothing but time and MORE time to be good at it, and in the process become absolutely apathetic and insipid to what’s going around you, stay far away from the likes of MMORPGs (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games). You have been warned.
